I think this will be a problem for Spotiflac

It won’t work for so many millions when Chinese cars are skyrocketing, competing on price with them is crazy. Combustion engines require advanced engineering, but electric ones are absolutely basic, we must look for another element that differentiates these brands, I would pay more for good open source and auditable privacy software that I know is not going to leave me stranded at the first opportunity.

oh yes, surely that idea helps them compete with Chinese cars, this is what they are going to add value to and justify their price

I don’t follow the topic intensively either, but I haven’t seen anyone criticize the other software

We all have a narrative and try to convince others; that’s what dialogue in forums is all about. The difference is whether it’s done in good faith, trying to debate, learn and share, or in bad faith, diverting, deceiving and pushing misleading debates to promote hidden ideas.
It is not always easy to distinguish one from another, and organized groups take advantage of that.

Is Lemmy important enough to attract bots with malicious political intentions? A victory for us.
On a more serious note, I don’t know of any truly effective way to prevent that beyond sheer, hard work and restraint, and even then it’s never easy to distinguish bad intention of legitimate dissenting opinions.

People from the countries we colonized find it really easy to come here legally. I don’t have exact figures, but I’m sure most are Moroccan or from other African countries.
Edit: I am Spanish, in case the context wasn’t clear.

Adding up the spending of all EU members, we spend more than China; we don’t even need to spend more, we just need to unify spending.

Anyone who is reasonably informed

If by any chance they haven’t spent it all and part of the gold still exists—which is really doubtful—I think they would have to go in there with tanks to be able to get it out, and this is not a Trump-related issue; it has been known for decades that the most likely scenario is that the gold is no longer there.

Is this a joke? Does anyone realistically believe that gold will ever set foot on European soil again?

Okay, I may not have expressed myself well, I appreciate the correction and I’ll be more careful in the future

I’m sorry, English isn’t my first language and I might not express myself as clearly as I’d like.

Don’t take it personally man, I wasn’t referring to you, I was referring to the FT itself.
I have seen those calculations saying that the system collapses in 10 years at least since the '70s, and here we are, they never take into account the rise in productivity and various improvements in the standard of living

I haven’t been able to read the full article because it’s behind a paywall, but I can see where it’s going. It treats these as two separate problems when they’re really the same thing. The actions of an aggressive United States and an expansionist Russia clearly fuel far-right parties, and this is part of that broader attack. Treating them as separate issues is a mistake.
On the other hand, the solution is also shared: creating a unified military structure — not 27 coordinated ones, but a single force. That would automatically include a common intelligence apparatus, which could effectively fight foreign interference in our elections and internal affairs. I’ve read about half a dozen calls from European leaders on this over the past year, but there’s still no concrete proposal on the table. If we keep waiting, by the time we finally unite it will be too late. As citizens, we need to apply pressure as much as we can.

Yeah, yeah, we can — stop being so annoying. You keep pushing, over and over again, for people to sign up for bank pension plans because the system is supposedly going to collapse. Taxing large fortunes and multibillion-dollar corporations would solve this problem, like many others. Stop posting propaganda articles.

Indeed, they are not part of the EU, as you say and I said before. The fact that we have certain bilateral treaties so that they benefit from some things does not change the above, we can give EU funds to African countries as aid or have freedom of movement in Switzerland but neither case nor other makes them “somewhat members” of the EU.
I could start by leaving twitter
