I know very little about this app, but it looks like a tuning and sensor app. You could change the program in your car to vary it for performance, or gas mileage. I remember when you used to be able to openly talk about profiles, but the car companies didn’t like that and called that info “proprietary”.

Anyway, I wanted to say: I don’t see how this tool physically removes a catalytic converter. It may change the program to let you run without one, but I think the government should go after Big Wrench. They did it.

Several countries I have been to recently I haven’t even talked to anyone at the hotel, which is nice. I don’t have to see the front desk at all, and the bell hop doesn’t care.

They don’t own the network, or don’t even have a network to connect to. I probably vastly underestimate the people who do not control their internet connection, or simply use devices that are on cell networks.

But I do remember thinking 1gb and it growing over time was worth implementing GmailFS and using a free gmail account as a “get to it anywhere” file system I could mount on Linux.

I still have my gmai account from 2004 or so. I never delete anything, and it is where all the garbage mail goes, although I use it occasionally for purchases and other things.

So 22 years of email, never deleting anything, and I am well under 5gb.

That is a tall order! Old game, lots of mods, lots of windows files/folders. Probably a lot of tinkering just to get that far.

You doing real family trees, or sims family trees?

For real ones: Gramps is not particularly easy to use, but it is real genealogy software and supports the open standard for importing and exporting data.

As for the game, this is what I would do: I would grab a $20 machine or re-purpose an older one. Put windows on it. Put your game on it. Remote into it (either RDP, or use moonlight). Clipboard is shared, the screen is the game, it works really, really well. And you can preserve your SIMS game when Windows starts to force changes that break things because your main computer is used for the secure stuff like browsing and email, and other games.

That said, I have seen the Sims 2 complete repacked with patches for Lutris that is basically click and run. How many of your mods work, I don’t know.

Thanks! I am away from home for about two more weeks, but I am going to give it a try. I like buying the humble vr bundles just to play with them, and any sort of motion game for fun/keeping active on rainy days.

I have a quest 1 and 2, but I havent used either in a while. Both were given to me, so I can’t complain. Half Life Alyx was a fantastic game, and really showed me how good it could be.

I am right there with you: as soon as I can get a frame I am moving on to it.

If you are doing VR, well then you got a point. Still if I had to, I would simply dual boot for it.

At around your age I am thinking about going back to my youth: throw the TV out, quit consuming shit and go out and do things. There is more than enough free music for the rest of my lifetime and I havent seen a movie or TV show in years that actually matters.

To you point though: its bullshit that devices like this one I am typing on have taken away the SD card. My steam decks have 1tb cards, why can’t my other devices?
