  • Seriously. You need worker co’ops. The motive is simple:

”we need money to survive, because unfortunately we can’t afford to completely leave the status quo and fend for ourselves. So we establish a product that generates enough revenue to support the livelihood of our workforce, as well as savings for rough times.”

Done. Just organize leadership in a way that makes sure workers keep the power. Leadership needs to be a function of the workers, not the other way around.

You know what might be even better? Group up with several people who share this vision. Everyone gets hired at the same company. Play the long game, get promoted, promote each other, … until you can force a takeover. Make the company so entrenched, that the cost of beating your efforts is higher than the cost of giving in.

Maybe you get arrested. But if the company was adequately dependent on you, your removal (even by arrest) ought be quite damaging for the company.

  • Oh yeah… If I were Ukraine, I’d fail a lot… but only because I’d be busy testing all the different ways I can stress their logistics. My goal would be to cause complete havoc for the Russians, including public outcry. Russia, why can’t you feed anybody? Russia, why can you power your homes? Russia, you’d best look down rather than over at me… your public base is rallying against you

I’d destroy communications, I’d find ways to make the Russians not trust one another — fear of spies. I’d poison food meant for troops, if I could, so that they can’t even trust their own meals.

I’d have some of the best deals for defects. Turn on Russia, you can leave the war immediately. We’ll even report that we killed you, help you go back to Russia under an alias, or even help you get your family out of Russia. Can be built from a task force of defects, literally just helping other defects.

I’d also start attacking Truth itself within Russia. In essence, let’s see what all this hype has been about — using AI fueled propaganda at scale. Nobody will know what the state of affairs are, because every truth will drown in the sea of plausibility. Russia will struggle to control the narrative, and they will have many more problems on their hands.

I’d also start a division that targets the oligarchy. Either recruit them, exploit them, or make them fear for their lives/money.

The last thing I would do is try and make this a fair fight. Fuck traditional warfare.

  • Just had an idea… what if federal agencies of governance, like FTC, FBI, NSA, … had (1) immediate leadership voted on during elections (2) protections from being removed by anyone other than public vote / impeachment, (3) funding guarantees by ensuring all approved funds go through independent, highly secured processes. The administration shouldn’t be able to take control of agencies or defund ones they can’t. Better, we should be able to control their priorities — via control of their leadership. Maybe in such a world, we could already be prosecuting CEOs.

  • I’m down. Our standards are their revenue streams. Yeah… let me buy a house in such a way that fucks the current real-estate industry just a little bit. What are they going to do if enough people follow along? If it’s bad enough, they will loose money on their real-estate investments. Hopefully, if it’s really bad, they eventually default while we’re all cozy in our “lower standards.”

I don’t need a big fancy home. I prefer the outdoor air and view anyhow. Not to mention, I’m sure there are passive benefits to not making your home into a den where you can comfortably avoid grass and societal-problems.

Edit: worst case; they ban foreign home kits like they did with Chinese EVs. This won’t happen overnight, though. If we can create a small movement, then we can use its momentum to fight back when the time comes.

Gosh… I just really want to see a bunch of people say “fuck it. We’re going to try building our own sovereign common-welfare infrastructure.” Move somewhere remote, find ways to survive as a community, start off like the Amish if you have to. But, effectively, most importantly, remove yourself from the American consumer market.

That would create a huge fucking tension between your rights as an individual and the big-boys source of income/power. The attention it gets might have more people supporting/joining the community, as a kind of solution they’ve been long looking for.

There would be tradeoffs. I’m willing to bet that those tradeoffs are reasonable though, if you have a sizable enough community. In fact, I’d go as far to bet that people in this remote community would have better health on average than city dwellers. Given the shit food we’re sold, the abundance of calories and sugar, …
