It’s always possible, but my guess is that it wouldn’t happen. At least not for now. According to the government, officially, inflation is like 3%, and it takes something like 50% for it to be considered hyperinflation. However, everybody knows that the government inflation figure is understated, and the inflation rate is more like 7% or 8%.

Moderate. Reticulum can work over almost any medium. Ethernet, wifi, LoRa, HF, serial, paper qr codes, etc. If I remember correctly, real-time communication only requires a medium capable of doing 5 bits per second.
The only way I would ever even consider this is if the firmware was open source and the software to interact with it was open source and it had no direct connection to any sort of network at all and required an external device that I could turn off or on to connect to it an external network. Oh, and the hardware would need to be open source as well.
