Actual question: Is it only EU though? I can’t really imagine that any other meat industry on the planet can exist without massive use of antibiotics… pathogens are natures way to deal with crowded overpopulation after all.

Or do we just have reliable data for EU farms?

Don’t get me wrong: Modern meat industry is a huge catastrophe and we should aim for ending this nightmare once and for all… but I wonder why the headline is EU specific.

It is definitely not European-specific. US, and likely plenty of other countries, have the same problem. Factory farming is frankly insanity no matter how you look at it.

And water is wet. More news at 11.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s great that this shit is being discussed because it needs to change. But imagining this to be news to anyone would give me nightmares.

Sorry but I’m about to give you nightmares… I didn’t know about this.

Just because you know something, doesn’t mean everyone does.

I was 28 years old when I learned ponies are not just young horses.
Ridiculous I know, but sometimes people just assume wrong things until they learn more about them.

Reporting on that stuff is important and I feel like comments like yours may discourage some from posting news in fear of being called out.

Agreed, this has been an issue for far too long. It’s better in the EU than in most other regions, but it’s still too damn high.
