    It’s like if people took that thanos snap thing that subreddit did really seriously. People seem to actually care about whether they were saved or snapped.

    That’s what it looks like from my chair.

      some might be that way, I’d say the majority of people are upset that thanos snapped at all. who gave him the right to snap? not me, that’s for sure.

      Full disclosure: i am on the list. But that’s not my issue beyond the personal hilarity.

      They decided they had the right to censor visibility of users, comments, words, entire instances to those who utilised their interface. And they went to lengths to hide it. Thats a violation. A serious one. Of user agency, of FOSS, of what the fediverse purports to be about. And when discovered they went on an unhinged rant slinging insults at those who quite rightly said “what the fuck, dude”. Utterly unrepentant.
