    One facility publicly stated they’re making “submarine fuel” - but that’s pretty thin… same facility can easily make all kinds of fissile material as well.

      Oh interesting.

      Ya I also thought the subs and aircraft carriers were good examples of how incredibly energy dense that stuff is, pretty cool.

      But ya, not trying to be naive ofc. Too bad about the other uses…

        The reactors have all kinds of uses… at one point I worked for a company that wanted to manufacture Co60 for medical purposes (radiotherapy for cancer treatment) - and you use the exact same reactors, just load them with different reaction material to get your desired isotopes produced.
