And yes, I agree, I write less and less manual code, but it’s not fun.
Endless context switching is really not promoting flow states, that I had when I programmed for ours… Which I consider what made it fun in the first place.
Me too. But do you think people outside of IT will get the same boost? I think that 90% of IT work would be totally redundant if people knew a little of Python, all we do is guardrails upon guardrails. I have a suspicion that AI constrained enough for your average office worker to understand what its doing is not going to be terribly productive.
