Your best bet, and that is tiny, but is still there, is to fill the Democratic party with Bernie Sanders-types and the like. AOC may run for president. She probably won’t win, but she is a more progressive candidate than your typical centrist democrat. And it all started with her getting elected in New York. Talarico vs Crockett is the next opportunity to elect a more progressive candidate with Talarico.
Our best bet would be to collectly stop believing the lies of the DNC and start a new party that minimizes or forbids lobby from corporate goons.
But the capture of the two party system is very strong and any talk about that gets self-policed by well intentioned folks. The DNC propaganda is strong. I’m all for minimizing harm in the moment, but the harm of the status quo is building to many many decades of past “we have to vote DNC one more time” moments. And with climate catastrophy here already what harm are we minimizing?
