The U.S. faces a highly unique problem — they don’t know where to spend an additional $500 billion from the defense budget. As a result, the budget proposal deadline has already been delayed by two weeks.

The estimate I’ve found puts it at about 500,000 homeless people in the US.
With $500 billion, you could give each and every homeless person in the US $1 million. Easily enough to buy a house in almost every housing market.
Trying to imagine the kind of house Boeing would build, and I’ve got this image of a converted shipping container with custom proprietary electric and plumbing hook ups that cost $50M/ea and disintegrates when it rains.
