Shit, I remember when Nixon resigned. I also remember thinking that Nixon was as bad as Republicans could ever get.

same. I keep thinking “it can’t get worse than this,” and republicans say: “Hold my beer.”

I’d assume the bot count is increasing, not decreasing.

Probably just tied up with global population decline, or maybe infrastructure failure of ISPs, at this point. Facebook has the digital market super-saturated. Nowhere to go but down.

It is, but the growth is not uniform around the globe. The population growth is inversely correlated with national development, though. That means the population is growing most in places where Internet access is most out of reach, and population growth is actually already negative and accelerating in many nations with widespread Internet access.

Yes, but primarily in countries with little to no internet.

Industrialized nations are experiencing significant population decline driven by fertility rates falling below the replacement level of 2.1, caused by increased urbanization, female education, and high costs of living. Over 90 countries face shrinking populations, with major economies like Japan and Italy projected to halve by 2100.

I never got it anyway, right from the beginning. Why would I want to tell everybody my business, and why would I want to know everybody else’s business?

I opened an account in my name at the beginning, so I could lock it down, but I never did anything with it. No profile info, posts, nothing. I have to do some Instagram for my business, but it’s very inconsistent. Now and then I get a good photo, and I’ll think to post it, but rarely.

I can’t wait to see Facebook to go away.

One of side hustle I do is tech support for senior people in my community. And amount of time I have to deal with stuff related to Facebook is staggering.

So many of seniors have multiple accounts because they don’t understand how it work and just hit whatever buttons they see pop up until they get back into Facebook feed. So it’s not user friendly and even worse, UI get changed constantly and I have to Google around across multiple threads different forums, etc to find answers. And so many more issues, I couldn’t list them all.
