The problem is that it doesn’t matter how useful and irreplaceable you know you are, if a company decides it’s replacing you with AI, they’ll do it anyway. They may decide later that they were wrong, and you were right, but it doesn’t matter, you’re still unemployed.

Companies shoot themselves in the foot all the time. You can’t count on them to do the smart thing, even if it’s obvious. The second some C-Level gets these the idea that they can save money by firing a bunch of people, it’s going to happen, no matter how ill-advised.

I used a Visitor Counter to beat a business rival who had stolen my business (long story, but he was a crook). Since it was a small town, and this guy was well connected, with a brother on the police force, so I got nowhere with real justice. This was this guy’s business model - invest in a business, then steal it.

So I told my story on my web page, and put a hit counter at the bottom. First, he threatened to sue me, and I told him to bring it on, I had written documentation and many live witnesses who would verify every statement I made.

The page went locally viral, and people all over town told me they read the page. As the hit counter imcreased, his business decreased. He got increasingly desperate as his business crashed, begged me to take it down, which I refused, and eventually he closed the business.

I re-branded under another name, and continue to operate that business to this day.

I’ll believe that Palantir employees are turning against their masters when their quiet sabotage starts crashing their company.

Palantir employees, do you want to be American heroes? Get to work destroying your company from the inside.

Every single person on the planet knew Iran would respond exactly the way they did, that’s why no past president did it. It wasn’t because they were cowardly, or stupid, or feckless, it was because it was a TERRIBLE idea.

But terrible ideas are Trump’s superpower, so here we are.

Unions and strikes were illegal in America, until our grandfathers and great grandfathers fought in the streets with company and government goons, cracking skulls and getting their own cracked, in order to force those rights to happen.

Not one single worker’s right that we enjoy today was given to us. We TOOK it through violence, and forcing the government and corporations to FEAR us in an existential manner. They came to understand that if they did not give in, we would literally DESTROY their corporations, and then them. And it worked.

They no longer fear us. We need to change that.

When my parents retired, after giving me a lifetime of bad advice on nearly everything, I found out that I earned more than double their combined salaries, even though my mom was a VP.

Her company figured out that they could buy her off with a title or an office, or more responsibility, with the promise that a raise was right around the corner, and she bought it every time. She was always telling me to stop worrying about the salary, and go after the promotions, and the salary would follow. That salary never arrived for her.

The “Donroe Doctrine.” So fucking stupid.

Pretty soon they won’t need cars. They’re building so many bullet trains, that you can take practically one from your front door to the grocery store.

They’re eating our lunch, and our leaders are totally clueless, and wouldn’t even care if they knew.

I’m convinced that the church has always seen the molestation of boys as a recruitment strategy. Most go on with their lives after being abused, but some probably learn to like it, and they stay in the church, and then do it themselves. This has probably been a pattern for literally centuries, and is responsible for a significant number of recruits.

Celibacy has never been a strong draw, any other strategy that brings in recruits can’t be easily dismissed.

I never got it anyway, right from the beginning. Why would I want to tell everybody my business, and why would I want to know everybody else’s business?

I opened an account in my name at the beginning, so I could lock it down, but I never did anything with it. No profile info, posts, nothing. I have to do some Instagram for my business, but it’s very inconsistent. Now and then I get a good photo, and I’ll think to post it, but rarely.

That’s it. Follow the money. It’s ALL that matters.

Yeah, I know about all of that, and they still have a better working environment than Americans.

As China has prospered, they have managed to reduce most poverty in their nation. As we have prospered under MAGA, Americans’ quality of life is decreasing, and the slide is increasing. China is going the right way, we are definitely going the wrong way.

I’m not saying that China doesn’t have issues, but they are still committed to the betterment of their country’s future, while American leaders are ONLY concerned with exploiting our country and it’s people to the absolute maximum degree. They don’t want to leave one illegal penny on the table.

I don’t want to be China, but I don’t want to be MAGAMERICA either.
