this is important to understand: they weren’t buying the phone. they were owning the libs. For every magat who’s furious, there’s four to six hogs who’ll feel good because all they care is that you don’t want that money go to him.

Honestly, at this point I think MAGA are just fin-subs and like it that way. Keep sending Daddy Don your social security checks you little fin-cucks.

I would grant them a modicum of grace if they hadn’t had 40 fucking years to see what he was about. But they had it. And they chose this.

      But The Apprentice!

(Apparently all the real business guys were too busy, that’s how the producers picked Trump.)

He was the perfect pick for a show like the apprentice. Tacky showy idea of an 80s businessman. It was clear on thw show that he wasnt really involved with his own business nkr the show tasks or planning.

Sitting in meetings or analysing data on a screen doesnt make good tv. Neither did trump, but the producers did.

Well, tbh the article itself lists three outlets that did exactly that (NBC News, 404 Media and Android Authority), so that’s how I would read it before jumping to conclusions.

I always wonder what they think the GOP has given them. Like the dems blow but at least they got stuff like gay marriage and the ACA through. Is there literally one thing the GOP has done since the last shitty actor we elected that wasn’t just funneling money to the rich?

You know the answer to that, and you also know that the answer does not matter. MAGA isn’t a political movement that gains or loses people’s support depending on the outcomes of its actions. It’s a cult, built around absolute faith in the leader and its ideology, and as such, it’s insulated from reality. Cults have a long history of explaining away the suffering they cause to their own members:

          • The other side is pure evil, so whatever this is, the other side is worse.
          • You deserve it. You’ve been a terrible person, and your suffering is your repentance.
          • It’s a test of your faith. Doubts are a sign of you being weak.
          • You need to hold out just a little longer. Paradise is just around the corner. (Of course, dates and goal posts constantly shift into the future…)

Just think about the suffering any past cult has managed to have people endure or inflict on others (often their own kids). Then you know no matter how much MAGAs will suffer from their own political choices, it’s not going to change their minds en masse.

I don’t think it’s limited to MAGA. I don’t think any GOP voter in the last 50 years has ever gotten anything from their party, and they still probably never changed their minds.

Were these people stupid enough to purchase the phone with cash or a check and not a credit card? I’m sure VISA, M/C, and AMEX will refund the charge and do a chargeback. If they were stupid enough to wait more then two months (most companies have a 60 limit on contested charges), then they deserve to be shafted.

I’m also going to guess that there is some fine print to the effect of “no refunds when we don’t deliver”.

Edit: Yup. “a revised terms of service published on 6 April 2026. The updated document states explicitly that paying a deposit ‘does not constitute a completed purchase and does not create a binding legal contract.’ The payment is described as ‘a conditional opportunity to buy the device if Trump Mobile eventually chooses to sell it,’ with the company retaining all control over whether a phone is produced at all.”

They waited until after the chargeback period was over and THEN changed the terms and announced the scam.

I guarantee most of the morons are outside the timeframe to get a refund/cancellation

I’ve done a chargeback on my Visa past a year (eBay seller took an item back under warranty then refused to respond, refund, or replace).

This just warms my heart. 😃👍 Ahhh…if only he stole even more of their money. And then they’d end up on the street, he’d be finally impeached, and then imprisoned, and those idiots might get back 5% of the money they lost, so they’d still be screwed.

They got scammed the first time around too. Remember “Finish The Wall”? Trump didn’t build an inch of wall with that money, it just vanished into thin air and appeared as a few extra digits in his bank accoount.

The same people who forked over money for that and then admitted regretting it afterwards were the same ones gleefully preordering this phone. They’ll be mad about it for a bit and then they’ll fall for it again in due time. Easy marks.
