Yep that is correct, but imo it’s a “perfect is the enemy of good” situation as I mentioned. And “ethical investing” could be an oxymoron anyways depending on who you ask.

I now pretty much only have EU and emerging markets ETFs (the latter excluding China). I also chose ESG ETFs. While ESG criteria don’t really mean investing only in the “good guys” it at least filters out fossil fuel companies and things like Nestlé. Lastly, I look for Amundi ETFs. The are largely identical to BlackRock iShares, but from a French firm 🤷

Why should it be necessary to build things only in wasm for the web? JS is a really good language for building frontends. There is a reason why lots of companies prefer building native applications with React. People always complain about framework bloat with JS, but then we want to hype up shipping huge wasm binaries? Just for basic interaction in a UI?

Wasm is doing great, inside and outside the browser. But it won’t replace JS because there’s no reason to do so.

In Germany, many old people are forced to collect bottles and get food from food banks because they cannot survive on what they get from the state. Lowering or stagnating that payment is impossible. Like most things it is just a wealth distribution issue imo
