Yep that works great also!
I don’t connect mine to internet and just use an Apple TV for all the apps I want. Why would you use the TV apps they are always pretty shitty in my experience. Also they can’t get your data if it isn’t connected to the web.
Thank you for all the info. I am running plex off an intel nuc my NAS is just storing all the files for it. So cpu for the actual NAS can be either or tbh.
And I think I’m going to self build and search more on here for what other people did and for any more questions I may have!
I have a synology I bought 3rd party ram (not synology) and it works fine. Same with drives just bought some seagate drives. Probably going to upgrade from a 4 bay to a 12 and I don’t see compatibility of ram being an issue. I just don’t feel like building a whole racked system I just want to plug and play and forget. As of now tho only thing I lose is warranty cause I’m using not “certified” ram and drives.
AI, get a load of this guy using buzzwords.
All the people yes jellyfin is great but plex is easiest to share to non tech people to just download an app and they are instantly connected to my server. It’s just works and it’s a lot easier to explain to my family then jellyfin is.
Mine were great. Still going. Honestly as you did just contact support they should take care of it.
So I have a lifetime pass. But my family members have their own accounts. Will they be able to watch from their house to my server now or will they need to pay? Cause if that’s so guess I’m switching to jellyfin and teaching them how to work it.
How you fix?
Did you fix the issue?
