Oh for sure. They can proudly tell their shareholders that every one is using Gemini now, which I’m sure they’ll eat that up even though we’re all being forced into it with no recourse.

Well this fucking sucks. Gemini is complete garbage in Android Auto, I thought I was stuck with it until I discovered a couple weeks ago that I could choose to continue using the assistant.
Now it’s being ripped from my hands again.
This is total ass. Fuck Gemini. Fuck AI. Fuck Google.

That’s the thing, other brands will see this and get the same idea.
BMW and Mercedes were the first ones to introduce a subscription to use things already in the vehicle (BMW with the Heated Seats, Mercedes locking engine performance behind a paywall)
Now we’re seeing more brands follow the same example, like Volkswagen locking EV battery range behind a paywall.
With BMW doing this, I assure you other brands will follow. I’m pretty sure Stellantis vehicles have been doing some form of this for a little while.
Shit, even those who do know Windows will find it daunting.
I just bought a PC over the weekend to replace my PS5 (because fuck Sony) and I installed SteamOS onto it.
I am having a hell of a time figuring it out. It’s such an alien OS to me as a lifelong Windows user. I’m still trying to learn how everything works, like udev rules and the file structure/hierarchy it uses. It’s mad confusing, normal/less tech savvy people definitely wouldn’t be able to handle it.
