Yeah true. But because of all the bad stuff happening in the world my mind immediately goes to illegal influencing (rigging votes etc.). Its honestly quite depressing.

Everyone is still using it. It sucks since i just want everyone to come on piefed/lemmy. I really have no idea what reddit has to do to make people switch. Its kinda like seeing a toxic relationship.

Because we follow the law. No matter how shitty that can be sometimes. The moment you stop following the law you lose credibility. Just look at the braindrain and loss of scientific instances in the USA right now.

The problem is that its not just “tankies” but everything that slightly inconveniences an instance get blocked. I really dont want to use 3 different instances because one decides they don’t like anime, the other decides they dont like birds, then another one doesn’t like the color blue and bans anything that has blue.

I wish the federation was left to the users and only illegal stuff is banned. This maybe an unpopular opinion but i agree that all the federation blocking is killing what is already a tiny community.

For who? Themselves? Are their lives so miserable they just want to see people suffer?

Man I wish my online friends were that easy to switch.

As soon as I mention Lemmy “what’s wrong with reddit”. As soon as I mention element “but everyone uses whatsapp/discord”.

It suck that 90% of the people are stuck in their old ways and refuse to try anything new.

Hell I almost got banned for even mentioning lemmy once.
