My Communities:
For now I’m only monitoring and posting to these two:
!art_alchemist_guild@lemmy.today — Ask, share, learn and show off with the most DIY of artists.
!cool_rocks@lemmy.today — For cool rocks.
I’ve become too busy to post to these. If anyone wants to take them over, let me know:
!Independent_Media@lemmy.today — Independent world journalism news feed.
!indy_news_canada@sh.itjust.works — Independent news from Canada.
!wildfeed@sh.itjust.works — Trash. Global, diverse news, reports, blogs and listicles.
I keep making communities. Please help.
This is my main account.

Can I use my clit or do I have to find a dude?

We need to start demanding technical diagrams again. I’ve fixed up antiques where the schematics were printed on the inside, even for a simple flashlight.

I’m a millenial, too. Even I use my phone or computer to tell time more often than anything. Before smart phones we had some solid years relying on wall clocks and watches. It was a skill we kept using after we learned it, unlike a lot of kids who haven’t needed to flex that muscle since they were taught.

Totally, and such a cheap hobby. I’m glad you’re inspired!
Plus you can just remake all the sheets you fuck up.
I’ve experimented with so many methods, best I’ve found for pure plant fibre sheets (if you don’t want to spend forever sponging) is to just flip your whole screen with the sheet onto whatever drying surface you use(as long as it’s smooth and flat) sponge the back through the screen, wait for it to dry a bit until the paper holds together on its own, then peel the screen off with a butter knife.
I’m sure you’ll figure out your own thing, though. Some people just leave them on the screens till dry.

Hi! Did you make paper yet? Maybe some day.
.ml is completely voluntary and I can see everything going on in it. Being dicks isn’t the same thing as being authoritarian. I don’t have a problem with pre-emptive banning as a concept, so we’ll disagree there because trans coms ban people who’ve never posted to them, too.
I don’t know what the “mods are useless” thing is about. Looks like they manage their communities normally?
On top of that, .ml is one of the biggest instances, so “they” is a lot of different people. Kinda like how people say .world is full of trolls, or sh.itjust.works is a nazi bar, or .today is right wing.
That’s not the only account I had where people from piefed pointed me toward those coms and claimed lemmy.ml is authoritarian. You can check this one’s history, too. Admittedly, I conflate what happens on my various accounts, and it was more than one user in that comment section.
By definition, lemmy.ml is not authoritarian, so that’s not a “gotcha.”
I didn’t recant a word choice, I was being diplomatic after the person I was debating with took a (fair) issue with it so I rephrased it.
I find it hard to believe you looked at that whole thread and that’s what you got out of it. I stand by everything I’ve said, even if I’ve had to make the occasional apology, on every account — That’s why I’m transparent about all my accounts in my bio, the place you found my piefed.
And, I mean, why so serious? My nerves aren’t struck, which is why I said I support piefed. Going through my history and writing an essay about it, on the other hand…
Edit: a word, grammar.
I made an account. Asked a few questions about the platform in their info com, made the mistake of bringing up why the “tankie triad” are pre-emptively blocked, got a bunch of people accusing me of being a tankie and telling me to look at MeanwhileOnGrad and the other com I can’t remember. It’s not for me, but I get why some folks prefer it.
I absolutely, 100% support Piefed and think this whole pissing contest between platforms is ridiculous. We’re all participating in the fediverse. Lemmy was designed to be open-source, to be built on, forked, played with, whatever. Piefed is growing and diversifying the fediverse, same as Lemmy.
We’re all in this together.
The link doesn’t point to the instance, that’s the main blog/info site for piefed.
Either way my question about blocking was answered, now I know the block list isn’t baked into piefed itself.
I don’t agree with the low rep feature. There are rules, reporting and blocking available moderate communities. If one user doesn’t want to interact with another for non-rulebreaking reasons, they can block them, tag them, or just not respond. This just opens up new reasons to manipulate votes and downvote unpopular opinions.
I’m on Lemmy.Today, so I disagree that it’s authoritative. This instance doesn’t block/isn’t blocked by any instance, and allows all opinions that aren’t bigoted or insulting. There’s a whole spectrum of vibes across the instances but there’s nothing authoritative about the Lemmy ground rules.
Disclaimer: I checked into piefed shit again and this unexpectedly turned into a whole thing.
I found this here https://join.piefed.social/features/ :
Default Blocks – Lemmygrad, Hexbear, and Nazi instances are blocked out of the box.
Does that mean they can’t be unblocked? And now I’m seeing:
Authoritarian Inoculation – Feature to reduce the impact of authoritarian propaganda.
That gave me pause, not because I want to promote authoritarian propaganda, but I’m concerned about someone else deciding what’s authoritarian.
And:
Low Reputation Indicator – Identifies consistently downvoted users.
This feels like karma. I’m alright with rule-breaking stuff getting deleted and people getting banned for bad behavior, but I don’t think people should be flagged for consistently going against the popular narrative. If they’re being assholes users can report them.
I looked into making yet another account, this time on piefed, but didn’t like the automatic blocking of a few communities. Yeah, I’m a massive hypocrite because I argued hard for the defederation of maga.place from sh.itjust.works, but since coming to lemmy.today I don’t like the idea of automatic defederation where the users don’t have input.
Are there any piefed instances that don’t block anything? Or, is there a way for me to befriend everyone on my account?
It helps to read the article.
