    I just crosspost the post from 1 .ml comm to 1 relevant non-.ml comm maintaining the crosspost as best I can so that it collapses (for people with supporting clients at least)

    Not really fitting the common definition of “spam”, Users like Chobeat are probably closer to an actual spammer since when they post to the technology -.ml comm I can’t crosspost it anywhere because they literally sent it to just about every “technology” comm on the Threadiverse LMAO

    but even then I wouldnt consider it actual spam

    I’m also not evading bans, my accounts are not banned anywhere to the best of my knowledge (well except for .ml, but that’s a given lol) and I just rotate through them over and over again. I haven’t made a new one in a long time.

    In fact, I’ve recently added a listing of accounts used for this crossposting purpose to the bottom of my megathread here if you wish to block them and I’m updating the bios on each account as I use them to include a similar blurb for people

    Yes, okay, so why include a social credit score in PieFed? One of the main things communist China is critized for. It seems to me like one of the main reasons lemmy was created was to get away from the social credit score/karma idealogy, so why include it in PieFed?

    Can you seriously not see the difference between a government implementation of it on its citizens, tied to their real world semi-permanent identities and has the power to arrest, jail or otherwise “make silent” based on said scores…and a social media app tied to pseudo-anonymous user handles as a tool to ease the already thankless burden of volunteer moderation with 0 real-world consequence should you run afoul of it? Or are you just trolling?

    Probably trolling considering you’re from the exploding heads-light instance lmao

    Are you aware there are shit ton of metric ranking systems out there in the world? Are they all social credit scores? Man hope you don’t find out about how internet routing protocols like BGP decides on routes LMAO

    You still can’t talk about the Hannibal Directive to me, huh? Another critique of mine about PieFed. Seems to be an Israel supremacist instance, where you can’t even discuss Israelis own Reichstag fire event that got Jews to support a genocide against a semite population.

    Irrelevant to the conversation at hand, we’re talking about the server software at hand, not the namesake instance itself

    More like proto-social media, a key defining factor for modern social media is things like feeds and ranking of both comments and posts. Which even PF and Lemmy do, if however basic the algo is

    Traditional forums had the community and people could post content, but there was usually no ranking of posts or comments. Mostly just chronological order, with the exception of posts with the most recent replies being at the top of whatever category you were in

    Though I’m sure there probably was a few “forward thinking” large forums that did something with feeds that looked more like modern SM
