Jellyfin for control over what your child can watch. Qbittorrent for getting the media. Immich for organizing their photos—way better than iphone images by a landslide. Jellyfin also for music. Babybuddy for infant tracking needs. I would use ghost for blogging. I also appreciate mediawiki for a family genealogy wiki. Wireguard/Tailscale for safety. Adguard for controlling what comes into the house. Stash for keeping parents happy.

Baikal or micro notes.md

Yea I thought so too

No ai? :)

I found it easy to install TRMNL on my Kindle inside of KOReader. The Kindle script would not work. I also found setting up the basic docker container script easy. The main issue for me was you have to change the base URL and base API URL in the KOReader TRMNL code and that part isn’t documented.
After all that work I realized we don’t have access to any of the plugins…? So it seems I can only write my own stuff for the selfhosted version.
They claim they will add extensions/plugins in the future but honestly with how bad the selfhosted UI looks, lack of extensions, and insane CEO, I won’t believe anything until its in my hand.

What does this solve that a standard CalDav server doesn’t? Plenty of FOSS apps for web, Linux, iPhone that can all sync to the many caldav servers like Baikal? Caldav servers can handle unlimited numbers of tasks.
Also I read through your page it seems you don’t have CalDav implemented currently. How do you sync between local applications then? Would you sync with other CalDav servers? Or is the project just the webui currently?
Maybe I’m missing something but I don’t see how your couldn’t development meets any of these requirements except the nice ui

What does this mean in your readme? How has technology for such a simple seeming project been behind and caught up?
This is my third attempt; the first two failed because the technology for fast, offline-first apps wasn’t ready.

What’s the difference between this and Planify? This just looks like Planify.
Yeah, I use it every day and have synced over 80k photos and videos to my servers with it. I absolutely love it. I know of no other option and I do not trust Immich or Nextcloud sync. I have never ever had an issue with photosync and if there is ever a rare error it tells me why.
I have it set to rsync to my local server. I open the app. It has already selected the recent media that is unsynced to said location. I then press sync and it does it in the background.
I believe the paid level above pro has some sort of auto sync based on location but I chose to not get that because I didn’t need it.
Super, super recommend!
