I’d plan to download even more torrents of netflix series, but it’s not like they’ve got anything worth watching anyway.

So done with Netflix. Streaming just isn’t worth it any more; I have better things to do with my time.

Might I recommend a library card? Most libraries have a DVD/BlueRay collection to borrow. And there are books. Maybe the younguns might want to consider reading a few more books? It’s good for you. Like eating vegetables for the mind.

…This made me realize how lazy I’ve become around movies. I don’t like the effort involved in going to a place to physically borrow an object, then having to remember to repeat that later to return it.

Renting movies was a very normal part of my life in the past. I’m not proud of this laziness. I’m fine with going to movie theaters, so it doesn’t make much sense.

We’re paying for ads now. They’re double whammying users and we’re eating it up because everything’s just too expensive.

I don’t want to live in this society anymore…

They’re one step away from dictating the content to be tailored to ads. Which is the natural end of running ads on your fucking service.

Apple TV+ remains the only streaming service I continue to pay for.

I can’t understand the reason people choose Jellyfin over Stremio. I gave it a try, and it seems a lot of hassle.

Maybe Jellyfin fits people who download their content in advance, while I make spontaneous decisions.

I can’t for the life of me understand why people pay for this crap. Netflix used to be a great way to stream a bunch of shows you liked on a lot of different devices easily. It was like five dollars and it was definitely worth it just for the ease of use. It’s just too expensive now with too much crap on it that comes and goes. I have no idea why anybody puts up with it anymore. It’s either the high seas or just buy it on something like Apple TV.

Yeah, I’d like to know why people still pay for it as well. As soon as they brought back ads for paid tiers, I went back into the boat and never looked back. Shame it’s only gotten worse.
