We only have 1 state in Australia that allows their sale I think, and meta happily lets them advertise everywhere. They don’t care. Sure it’s legal for them to do so.
They also happily promote our local right wing racists too, who get a lot of engagement
Even animal cruelty or porn meta cares very little. Lots of hunters with dead animals all over their profile promoting guns all over meta.
I’m not sure 12 year olds should be having that stuff pop up on their news feed. Even less the constant illegal incitements
TikTok is the same, it’s all incompetent mod-bots. I’ve reported about 100 catfish accounts (impersonating influencers and reuploading their content) and most of them are ignored with “Status: No violations”.
Meta aren’t even moderating anymore.
