I may describe it a like a small round pizza folded over on itself then baked - for someone with no idea, but they are very different things Calzone has no sauce in it, for one thing. Because they’re baked, they have a very different texture and flavor profile than pizza. This is like saying an omelette and scrambled eggs are the same thing. They aren’t.
