President Donald Trump hosted 16-year-old lifeguard Ryder Williams, who saved 10-year-old Nathaniel Rai from a powerful California current, at the White House on Monday, Aug. 17. During the visit, the president praised Williams and called him and jokingly told Rai that he was “lucky” Trump wasn’t on duty that day.
