New rules apply only to same-sex marriages signed in other EU member states.

Same-sex marriage remains illegal in Poland, and some local officials have said they will resist the change.

It’s hilarious because zakopane is a huge tourist spot. Ironically, a lot of the tourists come from Muslim countries that might find the mayor’s politics more agreeable than the rest of Europe. 😂
