These people have been conned, just because it was done from a religious end, doesn’t mean if we got rid of religion, people would suddenly be rational. There’s absolutely no evidence to support that thought. (Cite me if I’m wrong).
And every “nice” person who indulges in religion directly enables him. We should be relying on evidence to guide our choices, not magical thinking.
