Simple solution. Stop paying ESPN.
ESPN is (was?) a big chunk of what you pay for cable TV, too, and I don´t think you can a la carte it out. (And yes, simple solution: stop paying for cable TV.)

Nothing. I’ll pay nothing. ESPN has nothing I want to watch.
I just use gray streaming sites. Though for the live sports commentary and live updates, I do like what ESPN has for that

The reason sports and ESPN are such valuable commoditis is because the value of a sports game expires immediately when the game is over. That means they can charge what they want because they control the feed.
Imagine a world where people were just as happy to watch an old sportsball game as they are to watch an old episode of Mad Men. ESPN would be nothing.
Doesn’t ESPN have exclusive broadcast rights for the next Super Bowl for the first time ever? How convenient that they’d raise their prices…
