    I still think that Canadian membership would be a roadblock to the EU becoming a single, federated state.

    Is that the end goal for the European Union?

      For federalists like me it is.

      What the EU is, is something open for debate and common decision among EU citizens, but personally I prefer a federalist approach and think I can make a good argument for it.
