Yes, I know, but China has also said to increase fossil fuels by 2030 (by 8-10%) in its current five-year plan. Coal will not peak before the end of the decade, and no one knows what happens then. China isn’t on a good path.
As you openly say that tankies are ‘well-informed’, and who says that tankies cheering on authoritarian regimes like China and Russia’s violent actions is just a “different opinion”, you certainly have a very weird view of things. It’s waste of time to discuss this with you.
