Tons is an odd measurement of fuel over barrels but: a barrel of diesel weighs about 300lb. 300,000 * 2000 (lb per ton) = 600,000,000 lbs of diesel / 300 = 2 million barrels. The US uses about 3.5 million barrels a day. Even if the tons are metric it’s still just a days worth. Sorry Donnie you are a day late and a dollar short…
If metric tonnes that’s 1000 kg (1 Megagram if you will) = 2200 lbs. 10% more is 2.2 million barrels. Barely any more.
