    This article goes to such extremes to paint a narrative. The headline is supposed to make you think Iran is weary of war, but what Shabnam von Hein means by ‘infighting’ is continual pressure to take stronger stances against USIsrael. She pairs that with the idea of mounting economic woes, which the article does not discuss, but the will to fight is obviously increasing in spite of those woes.

      It’s a frequently used click bait tactic to use the pattern “X happens as Y is going on” to imply an interesting link between two things that simply doesn’t exist. It leaves the impression that one thing causes the other without actually stating it.

      Very frustrating.
