*PM says Trump is trying to make it easier to annex Canada — but it won’t work *
An unbowed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Tuesday that Canada will hit back hard at the U.S. after President Donald Trump launched a North American trade war by slapping devastating 25 per cent tariffs on virtually all Canadian goods.
Speaking to reporters at a news conference on Parliament Hill, Trudeau said Trump is trying to prompt “a total collapse of the Canadian economy” because he thinks that will “make it easier to annex us.”
But Trudeau said that will never happen because “when it comes to defending our great nation, there is no price we all aren’t willing to pay.”
Trudeau said Canada will not back down from a fight in the face of “completely bogus and completely unjustified” trade action that has the potential to ruin bilateral relations and prompt job losses, economic devastation and higher inflation on both sides of the border.
USA has become the enemy of democracy, NATO and traditional allies. But I’m sure EU and UK will be happy to strengthen relations, trade and even defense cooperation.
It may not be as convenient as having a big neighboring friend, but hopefully dampen the cost to Canada, while USA will have no such opportunities that I can see.
As long as this continues, it means the USA is an enemy, not just Trump and his administration, but USA as a whole.I recommend that Canada block all oil exports to USA, this will increase gas prices at the pump, and Americans hate that.

That’s almost half of here, so bringing it to $10 would only make it slightly more expensive than most European countries.

This is probably by American standards a fuel efficient car, with a 60 liter tank or almost 16 gallon.

Mr. T famously advocated for people to not drop out of school with the phrase, “I pity the fool who don’t stay in school.” I always imagined him taking this to absurd degrees. I’m glad the gloves are being thrown and they call it for what it is. That delicate diplomatic dance that lead up to this was clearly not working.
I will now treat every American as an enemy. It started as me giving the middle finger to some Washington asshole on the road yesterday. Small steps. Don’t feel like going to jail yet, for the actions I really want to do.
Targeting or even murdering random Americans will only accelerate the breakdown of civility and accomplish nothing. Recognize your words as an emotional outburst and channel your anger into something more constructive.
Don’t be an emotional reactionary like this guy or Trump are. There are a lot of good Americans out there who are still our friends and allies. Target your feelings to the ones actually harming us. Spraying hatred everywhere doesn’t do anyone any good.
