Presidential appointments need more guardrails. One person with a rigged rubber-stamp Senate shouldn’t be able to fuck up the entire federal bureaucracy’s ability to function for 4 years.

Guardrails only exist as far as there are people enforcing them with actual power. If the entire process is captured there is no amount of “rules” that can stop those decisions.
