US President Donald Trump said that the war in Ukraine has turned out to be more complicated than he expected. He noted that he had initially considered it the easiest at a Board of Peace meeting in Washington.
Ok everyone I know we thought Trump was going to end the Ukraine war super fast, but Trump isn’t perfect, sometimes things are hard for him! For example remembering where he is going in a sentence or covering up evidence he is a pedophile are both things he struggles with.

I mean, I’ll admit that I figured his solution would be to simply make sure Ukraine folds to Putin within 24 hours and that hasn’t happened. It’s a bar so low that it’s just sitting on the ground, but at least he hasn’t gone that low in that way yet
Uhh that was Trump’s original solution that he publicly proposed. The problem is that he wasn’t actually able to do it because it was impossible.
He might as well have come up with the solution to make the sun rise in the west instead of the east so that Ukraine could make a surprise attack on the morning when the light was in the Russians’ eyes.
Why would they fold though? This idea that Ukraine was merely a puppet that would concede to literally any demands from the US was always ridiculous.
Maybe my wording wasn’t great, but I’m thinking more along the lines of arms sales, other support, and Russian sanctions, which would make things a lot harder for Ukraine if they went away
I don’t think even that would work. He could certainly hamper the war effort but the US isn’t the only ally Ukraine has. I don’t think they would capitulate unless there was major movement on the front line and a total defeat seemed possible.
It’s because Donnie is surrounded by sycophants, so he thinks he can do anything. When he encounters someone who doesn’t immediately fold he’s surprised. I.e. see Iran.

- Albania and Thighland - he probably meant Cambodia and Thailand, in which case his ceasefire fell through, and the one that actually took wasn’t due to him. ❌
- Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda - not resolved despite his claims, fighting still continues. ❌
- Israel and Iran - you can’t call heavily tipping the scales for one side as brokering peace; plus it looks like he’s unilaterally dragging the US into a new conflict with Iran. ❌
- India and Pakistan - India doesn’t acknowledge the US played a significant part in peace talks, so this can’t really be counted. ❌
- Israel and Hamas - this one could only be considered a success if you’re Israel. But even then, it hasn’t done anything to prevent the genocide in Gaza, and now he’s just angling to exploit all that ‘empty’ land for himself and his cronies. ❌
- Ethiopia and Egypt - there’s hasn’t been war here for ages, so it’s a false claim. ❌
- Serbia and Kosovo - relations remain strained, and no peace agreement was signed. ❌
