It is, apparently, always possible for there to be less clothing.

It stiles me as a bit absurd that we find simulated violence normal but simulated eroticism abnormal

That’s only because you are ignorant of how much of American values are based on puritanical lifestyle and regressive sensibilities

You can show all the heads exploding you want but god forbid some kid sees a boob

Iirc George R.R. Martin has a similar reaction when people complained about the amount of sex in Game of Thrones. A telegraph article that immediately asked me to login said that he was

always astonished that there’s always so much more controversy about the sex than about the violence," and that this reaction “says something about us that isn’t necessarily a good thing to say”

It’s because you cannot under normal circumstances engage in a killing spree but most can get laid if they have previously put in effort.

This still assumes both are equal in both motive and morality.

Sex is just better than violence in all respects (except when combined, yuck).

Both combined is perfectly fine when both (or all involved) people specifically want it. It can be a lot of fun as long as youre being safe.

Yes! Exactly! And you also have to both know and trust each others limits. If you offer for your partner to spank you, and you’re expecting a light little funishment, but they go full ham, and blister and bruise your ass, you’re both going to have a bad time.

But if you both know and expect similiar ideas, and thats whats engaged in, respecting limits, and respecting consent, and respecting bountries, it can be a lot of fun.

I’m not sure that’s it - there are plenty of very successful games that simulate activities requiring less effort than getting laid.
