If he doesn’t it isn’t worth the effort, we’ve had elections during actual wars we wouldn’t skip them for police actions.
Ahh, but we’ve never really had such top-to-bottom corruption like this. It’s possible but that’s an uphill battle considering we had elections after Pearl and during Vietnam and Korea.
