minus-squareHolla@feddit.orglinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up0·2 months agoThey figured out that since these planes were flying circles anyway they could just rely on that. The pilots actually prefer this because it has stabler aerodynamics during liftoff and landing.
But it doesn’t have a spinny thing!
They use an AESA radar. They basicly replace the spinning with better electronics.
