Mikel Rubina could have stayed in prison for another ten years. Article is wrong though. Iparraguirre was sentenced to 20 years, not 790 years. I cant find sources that confirm the 790 year number. She had almost sat in prison the full 20 years. And Rubina was also only sentenced to 20 years which he had seven more to go.
I think they should only release ETA members who only killed Franquists. People who killed innocents should serve long sentences.

Yes.
ETA killed innocent people, and that is bad of course, and those victims and their families deserve all the support they get.
But sometimes right wing politicians try to make us feel bad about some of the earlier victims of ETA by putting them all in the same bag as the innocents. Francoist pieces of shit like Meliton Manzanas, one of the main torturers for the regime and Gestapo collaborator. Or Spain’s first astronaut. Those do not belong alongside the real innocent victims, because they were the furthest away from being innocent.
