My country banned smoking in all public indoor spaces almost 20 years ago. As a smoker at the time I thought it was ridiculous, felt that my rights were being violated and thought it would never last. The quality of life improvement it made is massive. Today I vape rather than smoke but wouldn’t dream of doing either indoors or being where someone else is. It was 100% the right move. Not quite the same thing but you sometimes can’t really understand the benefits of an alternative to the status quo, even if you understand it logically.

Yea I think its likely it happened there as the speed was given in kph, we still mostly use mph in the UK and I could be wrong as I’m not a parent but I’m not aware of “school buses” really being a thing here. We didn’t have them when I was a kid outside of coach services being brought in for school trips but that was quite some time ago.

My best friend who was younger than me died 2 years ago in her mid 30s. She was an alcoholic so didn’t exactly take the best care of herself. I don’t have any substance abuse issues but still don’t make the best choices for my health. I don’t exercise much and my diet is frankly horrific. Thinking about her death in this light has made me think that I really do need to get my shir together. Thanks friend.

In my last job I installed Outlook on my personal phone to access my work calendar conveniently. Found out from a colleague that if the admin for an Outlook server you’re signed into on any device fucks up badly enough you could end up having that device completely wiped so I promptly uninstalled it.

My dad also uses Outlook on hi Android tablet. I don’t get it.
