some people gender and anthropomorphize everything. some people don’t. i have never named my car, some people make up an entire personality for their car and talk to it like it’s a person.

people pay $1000s for these dogs, sometimes 10,000+

There requirements would eliminate the vast majority of gamers. They want people in perfect physical and mental health (perfect vision and perfect hearing) with bachelors degrees. No drugs. And you have to pass a qualifying exam.

Then you are going to be working 3-4 years at low pay until you are fully certified.

a relationship is mostly the fanfic of it you make up in your head. romantic partners idealize each other, primarily and tend to overlook glaring personality problems and incompatibilities when in limerance with each other.

relationships end when you realize reality of the other person doesn’t live up to the fantasy of who you think they are. sometimes that takes weeks or months, sometimes years.

for a relationship to last long term you have believe in the ideal of the other person and your future with them, not the day to day reality.

men and women both are turning to AI chatbots. adults do this as well.

because our social/romantic environment is toxic af and they want an escape from it.

Put yourself in the shoes of an angsty insecure teenager.

Why wouldn’t you want to sit around in a fantasy relationship with a chatbot that tells you how wonderful you are hours each day?

When I was an angsty teen I was in chatrooms hours a day looking for validation and socialization from strangers because I wans’t getting at home or at school, because I was in shitty backwater town full of ignorant multi-generational townie morons.

And I never got what I was looking for until I got to college.

American has such a massive hardon for hating on teachers.

I don’t understand, doesn’t this type of stuff go beyond college club stuff and wouldn’t it violate the code of conduct for the individuals involved?

Then again, schools don’t really seem to give a shit about enforcing rules about cheating anymore, sooo

people have the ability to tune things out. ads never bother me.

No they wouldn’t. I’m of those people. I don’t pay for ad free.

They don’t care about you. They care about the people that do have the money.
