I like city building games and puzzles. I like other things as well, but that’s not important right now.

Well eventually we’ll have “memory transfer from your neurotransmitter or you’re lying”

Many people i know were born may or june, suggesting conception during summer holidays perhaps. Barely any i know were november birthdays.
I wonder if people put strategy into it - for instance you might think a september birth willl be better at school than their younger peers.
Or if age doesn’t affect school performance that much, they might feel bad if they underperform against younger students
Or perhaps you’d choose to create a summer child so they get to have finished school and uni earlier on in their life.

I have to choose one or the other?

Context: I’m googling advice on referencing, and the AI overview takes it upon itself to suggest templates of how to reference (helpful, I guess) - but then it uses my exact university and it just makes your skin crawl because it really drives home how much you’re being watched. By machines.

Might not be true, just statistically likely

I would settle for any territory based real time strategy game just to show they understand how simple econonic models work.

See, facebook is way too embarassing (requires being liked by people who use facebook 😒 ) and GoFundMe seems to be used for worthwhile causes, which I am not, but the mood has passed now.

I could have been begging online this entire time? Where’s the best place to beg online

For most of history people didn’t have rooms
Yeah, and i find that pretty fascinating. I’m in the “hearing/seeing other people have sex doesn’t bother me” camp but most people regard it as a very big deal

You know the walls are too thin when, after sex, you hear your neighbor light up.
I have a question about this conceot actually
So I grew up in terraced houses from the 1900s or earlier, stone walls. Unfortunately, i could hear my parents talking, arguing and boinking from my room - but the last one only seemed to be a thing when i was a teenager. I could also hear the old guy next door walking around, telephoning and opening drawers.
But i was lucky enough to only have single guys who lived alone either side of me the entire time. So I wonder: do most people in terraces and apartments have to hear their neighbours having sex? Is that like a normal part of childhood? Other kids seemed to know about sex before me so I figure that might be part of it.
Or did my childhood home just have bad acoustics + insulation?

Doesn’t sound like a thought to me

Come on papa, your end is the means
Don’t trade your love and goodness for the golden machine
You run for the money

It’s the first result that came up when I searched “how do the dutch deal with splashback” and silly me thought it was an actual helpful link. Doesn’t actually resemble what I thought I copy and pasted yesterday when I did that comment, so maybe I copied the wrong link.

I’m British 😔
Made this post in the middle of diarrhoea.
See, it was therefore technically a kind of shower thought… But not the good kind of shower.

Shit, write that down, write that down.
I would like to believe aliens aren’t real, and a lot of shady shit in the usa (e.g JFK’s assasination) comes back to their pledged allegiation to a tiny fascist outpost in the middle east.
Since the dead/missing scientists are mainly if not uniquely employed at rocket science labs (or adjacent) my theory is that they were offed for refusing to make weapons for israel. Or kidnapped.
To me it makes sense that any shenanigans tie in to current events.
Could therefore also be the case that they’re kidnapping scientists to try and upload their brains to AI. This is a less neat theory.
