Zero tolerance never made any sense to me. When I got bullied and beat up, I’d still get punished, so it basically encouraged me to be violent back since the punishments were the same. It also kinda went directly against all the anti bullying stuff the schools would be pushing for.
Not just that. They’ll offer services where you can text and talk with them and they will mimic the deceased vocabulary, voice, and tone. All for a very reasonable, and predatory, subscription fee structure.
Maybe, but japan has a much different culture towards work and commitment than western countries. Burn out culture is very normal for the populace.
Personally i somewhat believe the 2 hrs a night thing but i suspect there are naps throughout the day if thats the case. Id guess she gets 4-6 hrs broken up throughout the day.
We currently pay to maintain car infrastructure regardless if we own a car or not. Per mile traveled, transit is far cheaper to maintain than roads are.
Frequent tranist. Missing a tram is no big deal if another is coming in 5 minutes. It needs to be a tram with priority tracks and signals so it stays on schedule.
Missing a tram and losing 5 minutes is the same as hitting a couple extra red lights or being delayed due to construction or a collision. Planning to arrive a few minutes early fixes any issues you would have from possible delays.
These systems would probably work a lot better in Canada if Canada built half decent transit. Many of those trips could likely be replaced with decent transit, freeing up cars for trips more specific to that use case.

Edit: i see in other comments you have an electric car and generate electricity. That is an energy supply not a fuel supply. And what about your bulldozer? Did you buy a modern electric one or does it rely on fuel? Certainly your diesel generator relies on fuel.
Anecdotally, i drink more when I’m out with friends. I ususally drive to the bar or pub so that keeps me at 1 drink max, but if i didn’t drive i find i drink about twice as much in a social setting than i do when alone. The high prices at bars actually help reduce over drinking in public for me.

100% agree. If whoopi goldberg had chose their name for gender purposes, i could see them getting hate and being told it’s a stupid reason etc.
It is their responsibility to ensure that everything beyond their target is safe before firing. This can become a grey area whem walls or other concealment is behind the target or when the target is threatening enough people that the risk may be worth it to end the threat, such as injuring 1 bystander to save 4 other victims from being shot, almost like the trolley problem.

I think a big part of it is there is a lot of propaganda in the country with conservatives being “fiscally responsible”. Their candidates rarely are fiscally responsible, for example conservative premier doug ford wants to rip out new bike lanes, spend money in court making bike lanes illegal, and promote car dependancy.
The conservatives also deny climate change and an upsetting amount of canadians deny climate change despite the recent wildfire smoke blanketing the country.

There are many places you can’t be legally armed. In Canada for example firearms are legal for hunting purposes, but even using one for genuine self defense will lead to lengthy legal battles at best.
