That makes a lot more sense. When I was reading PCD I was thinking about a private device, even if they don’t have much space and even less time I was thinking that they might bring a few small private things. Like a photo of their family, maybe a book etc.

Why is NASA remotely connecting to the tablet if it is a personal device?

Oh, I meant what the advantage would be of tracking TPMS sensors instead of using a camera to read the license plate. I can see the advantage of tracking people.

It seems easier to set up a camera and scan the license plate for identification instead of using radios for logging TPMS sensors.
Would it be an advantage to identify a car by logging the TPMS sensors?
Asus and dell are already launching clients to save us.

I tried Le Chat with the car wash question.
That’s a fun question! Since the car wash is only 50 meters away, walking is definitely the more practical choice. Driving such a short distance would take more time to start the car, drive, and park than it would to simply walk over. Plus, you’ll save a bit of fuel and avoid any unnecessary wear on your car. If you’re already outside and the weather is nice, it’s a great opportunity for a quick stretch!
However, I also asked it with a slightly different phrasing and then the result was different. At least it replies that it might make sense to drive there.
I need to wash my car. The car wash is 50 meters away from my house, should I drive or walk there?
That’s a fun question! Since the car wash is only 50 meters away, walking would be the most practical choice—it’s just a short stroll, and you’d avoid the hassle of starting your car for such a tiny distance. Plus, you’d save a bit of fuel and get a little fresh air! But if you’re planning to wash the car yourself and need to bring supplies, driving might make sense. Are you using an automatic car wash, or are you doing it by hand?

My company laptop had both Edge and Chrome installed the first time I started it. Edge is the default and the one with an icon on the taskbar. I’m convinced that most people, at least outside engineering, will use Edge as their main browser.
Luckily for me I have the “Local admin” access so the first thing I do is to download Firefox and set it up as my default browser. On the time reporting site I get warnings that my browser is not Chrome, but it still works without any problems.

The second round of the presidential election in Portugal is between the the moderate socialist António José Seguro and the far-right André Ventura. Ventura represent the Chega party which got 22.8% last year in the general election.

Good point, and the guess of the income is very qualified since the app is used which means it is directly linked to you.
And I assume the same method can be used for the fuel stations which answers my question (in my other comment) about that.

Yeah, that would explain the groceries, but what about fuel? The fuel stations can adjust the price so it becomes more expensive in the morning when you are on your way to work or at holidays. But that would change the price for everyone.

Companies gather data from many routine digital touchpoints: web and app tracking (cookies, pixels, and device fingerprinting), geolocation from phones and browsers, and in-store sensors.
I understand that collecting data from the browser and apps can change the price for items we typically order online. But the article mention groceries and fuel, aren’t those items typically bought in a store? How does my browsing have any impact on what I pay for a piece of bread?

Thanks! Was just reading about the Norwegians in the news so I don’t know about everything, but I think the voting was determined before the release of the Epstein documents and the trial of Marius. It was some parties on the far left who wanted to have the voting and they knew that they would not be close to a majority.
I’m from Sweden and people here like our king and also Victoria so I’m sure they will also handle a lot before there are any serious discussions about going for a president instead of a king.

Not only did she send texts to Epstein, she also visited him and stayed in his house in Florida. And all this was after Epstein was convicted in 2008.
They had a debate and voting in the Norwegian parliament today about the future for the royal family. 84% voted to keep the royal family.

They have learned to say the right things for the voters, but they have not understood what it means and are continuing like before because of that.

Mandatory reference to Protondb, which lists how well every game performs on Linux. 84 % of the top 100 games on Steam are rated as gold or platinum.

The Italian police wont allow that because of pressure from the US and Meloni who likes Trump.

We thought Blatter was the worst possible Fifa president we could have. And then we got Infantino.

I’m thinking that other countries might rush to withdraw their gold even if Germany get their gold. Because Trump might very well say something on social media about how awful Germany is when they are taking back their gold and that he maybe should stop it. Which could trigger other countries since no one will be the last one with large gold reserves in USA.

This feels like a typical topic that the city should determine independently of the government.
It is great that the fatalities decreases a lot, which is understandable since a pedestrian have way better chance of surviving if the car drives at 30 km/h instead of 50 km/h.
Or Librewolf, which is a fork from Firefox and removes the telemetry that Firefox collects.
