Someone at the army is on social media. The linked page is already altered and the segment about “Tafel” has been deleted.
It’s (still?) here https://home.army.mil/bavaria/about/shutdown-guidance
or if that gets changed too: https://archive.is/e2hvc

I hope this brings some kind of closure for his victims

It’s a tongue-in-cheek remark based on remarks Donald Tusk made.

The bigger models might also be too heavy to be driven with a regular (car) driver’s license. With a B Class the max weight is 3500 kg.

The real problem imho is, that according to the article, despite having previously injured two other people she was left in the wild. She could/should have been brought to a sanctuary after the first incident.
If you look at the bear’s family, it seems obvious that they somehow learned that humans weren’t to be feared and avoided. Her mother is already in the same sanctuary, two of her brothers were killed. One in Switzerland, the other in Germany - the (in)famously nicknamed Problembär (“problem bear”) Bruno.

No, Uschi. It’s not the time for this kind of negotiations. It’s time to set an example and send a message. After the countermeasures take effect, we can still send him flowery messages (in simple language) and an old Airbus with a bow.

‘Do as I say, not as I do.’

To add to your No 1:
I’ve heard from other people (who don’t use a good AdBlocker) that they got shown ads for the Israeli song surrounding videos about Eurovision on YouTube. Someone also mentioned that in the ads he saw the song itself got advertised, it did not explicitly mention that it is a song from Israel. I use UBlockOrigin and therefore did not see these ads myself.
I don’t care who does it - I think that blatant advertising should not be allowed. Other countries are already disadvantaged by the comparatively huge costs to partake in the song contest.

And again Habeck is the voice of reason. I’ll miss him.

What a surprise that a rape victim is not a “reliable” witness. Being attacked, suffering trauma and then you’re supposed to give a detailed report and answer questions that bring back all the memories and make you relive the whole ordeal.
Eye witnesses in general aren’t that reliable. That’s why you get 4 different descriptions if four people are questioned about the same fender bender they witnessed. Getting the colour of a sweater wrong does not mean that a person is lying or that the account in general is questionable.

They have a King
They are a heterogenous scene and therefore not uniformly organised (something to be thankful for). There’s more than one King (I haven’t read about a selfproclaimed queen though), different “Governments”, self-governing bodies… some of them cooperate, some can’t cooperate… As long as you don’t have to deal with them it sounds quite funny - They produce their own ID cards and driving licences because they do not believe in the existence of the Federal Republic of Germany. But if it exists it’s only a Ltd. Or Germany is still under military occupation. But if you encounter them irl… oh boy. And funny left as soon as some of them got their hands on weapons and actually started attacking people.

And that is why you don’t take your actual phone or laptop when you’re travelling to a country with questionable laws/procedures. Always take a burner. It’s what a lot of companies have also implemented as a precaution when they send their employees on business matters.

Gezi Park 2.0?

Not good was yesterday when the university degree got revoked. I still had hope that that’s been a warning and the sole step against a potential opponent. Today that hope got squashed and there’s no more pretending that Erdogan won’t use every trick from the little dictator’s handbook. It’s bad news for Turkey and those citizens who were looking forward to a positive change. There are enough problems that need to be adressed and if Erdogan stays in charge will likely be ignored.
Unfortunately I feel that there won’t be real pressure put on him internationally. He’s in a comfortable position due to the war in Ukraine and the other conflicts in Syria, Israel/Palestine and so on.
So now, they just deleted “Die Tafel” from their list and put the other options into a PDF to hide them better?
Members of the US-Military wouldn’t be elegible going by the rules of Tafel branches that I know of anyway (Tafel asks for “proof of need” in form of notices from social security agencies). But who thought this to be a good idea? This non-communication is making matters worse.
