France is 50% Christian, and a place with lots of migrants from foreign colonies. Migrants tend to get more children, if I recall correctly, even so for multiple generations.

Poland on the other hand, has had a steady stream of outward migration by people in the working age migrate to other European countries after it joined the EU 20 years ago. That, and their economy has been doing very well since.

Not sure if those are the reasons, but Poland/France doesn’t surprize me very much. I can’t currently think of reasons for Spain doing relatively well in this statistic.

Adding a third dimension to travel introduces a lot of additional intersections. Once the initial supply and demand wobble irons out, air travel will lead to additional traffic, not less.

To be fair, their reduced focus and the potential pace improvement through LLM assisted coding might cancel each other out. I wouldn’t be surprized if the resulting pace change is net zero or better.

That said: I like Firefox local translations, but haven’t found a use case for its other AI features yet.
