My username is a wordplay on the Linux command filesystem check: fsck.
I recently saw a self-hosted imgix/cloudinary alternative. I thought I starred it on gh, but apparently not and I can’t remember the name.
Edit
I think this was it:

But also, on a second read of your post, I now realize what you are looking for is right here:
https://squoosh.app/
It’s open source and it’s entirely client-side. It allows you to customize the settings to compress your image to the file size and format you need and maintain as much as the quality as possible. I can’t think of a simpler solution that works across all your devices.
I find it ironic that their website has extremely low contrasting colors making it very hard to read.
(Look at the top left for the worst example)
Gadgetbridge is compatible with Pebble devices
Is there a video version of this article?
It’s always just been obvious to me. I’ve heard many people say this, too.
Jabba could’ve been NalHutta
What’s the context of these words?
Reel like a fishing reel? Reel back from something?
Jig as a dance? A jig tool?
Well, the goal isn’t to just create woolly mammoth-lile creatures by copying characteristics. The goal is to recreate the genome from what genome data we have into a living creature.
It’s not like they are trying to create a sweded version, but take a creature that is already close and change the genes to match.
At least, that’s how I understood it based on the article.
Definitely don’t bring a torch into a movie theater. You’ll set off all the fire extinguishers and get kicked out.
Summary for those who can’t watch at the moment?
Oh, maybe. It’s rather confusing if that’s so.
Right. I’m not talking about the free service. I’m talking about the paid domain with “unlimited DNS records”. That just seems so weird and kind of a red flag. It seems I can’t find information about that without an account, either. Also weird and a red flag. But maybe that info is just buried in their site somewhere in the not-so-great design.
“unlimited DNS records”??
That’s like saying “I bought a house and I get unlimited door opens”
If you buy a domain you have full access and control over all of it.
A .com domain should only cost around $13/yr USD, and other TLDs can be even cheaper. There’s really no good reason to use some service that limits control and access just to save so little.
Nibbled to shreds
I’ve used plenty of ergo keyboards and fancy layouts, but as soon as I try to use a regular keyboard I have to re-learn how to type and it really halts any productivity.
This sort of thing may be nice if you only ever use one computer or you’re willing to pack around your keyboard.
Even still, I never liked ergo boards enough to think it’s worth the effort, especially considering being useless on other keyboards once I’m used to ergo.
Now I just stick to a 75% or TKL. Keeps me versatile.
