This is my biggest issue with the centre right-right. They are too close the US corporate interests and have no backbone. If only the left could get their act together and take a pragmatic policy stance.

Actually I think this position would be quite popular in most countries and I expect more conservative countries to eventually realize this. It’s funny because populist parties from the far right are already aware of this before centrist conservatives do.
