Do any of the Mbin instances take the .ee approach and leave it up to the user to block instead of defederation?

Using interstellar ATM and Lemmy and mbin seem great and piefed works when you use their instance*.

*still a few issues like lack of notifications and also being stuck to one instanc3 at least for now.

Similarly if everyone is relying on just Lemmy and not piefed and mbin in the even Lemmy goes down getting a new one running takes more time.

Ad companies are often payed on “impressions” which bots that click on a link can count as. Or they are payed upfront for a ad campaign in both of those cases the incentive is to make it seem like as many people are clicking the link as possible.
