Probably. Internally in Denmark there has been an increasing attention on issues like this both in the last few years en general, but also esp in light of the whole “Greenland? More like my land” trump thing, which means that every horror story has been put under the loop of public and jurisdictional scrutiny this past year.

The only reason the rest of the world even hears about this, is because we internally are trying to fix it. And the only reason articles are being written about it, is because of American interest. Noone gives a shit about danish internal politics otherwise, never is there written about our internal going ons unless it accidentally either offends or capitulates to American interests… Last time was that fucking giraffe obduction, and the only reason that was a thing was again because of American sensibilities

If you care about addicts, advocate for spending money on social services that help these people. Killing (or imprisoning) dealers have no real effect, we have decades of data on this.
