I live in a small rural town in Ireland. I’m seeing more and more ridiculously huge pickups that are simply too big for the parking spots. They’re fucking awful

In poland theres more of them each month. I fucking hate it so much.

Assholes in „rural” areas (10mins to city center) buy them and then parade in their fucking tanks. They are always the most polished and detailed cars on the intersection. I drive a larger car myself (not a suv, a big coupe) but it looks like a toy compared to a dodge ram. Those fuckers wouldn’t even be able to see a matiz in front of them.

There’s one in the garage of my apartment building. All i can think about when I see it is what a giant douche bag you have to be to buy something like that while living in a big city.

I think you think this thread is talking about the cybertruck but they’re just talking about regular pick up trucks.

You barely see any pick up trucks in Europe (or at least in Austria). I know like one or two farmers who have one and that’s it.

People who like big cars buy SUVs here.

Unfortunately I do see them (a bit) in the Netherlands… Something them being a tax loophole for entrepreneurs (but they’re supposedly closing it). Definitely niche though, indeed the emotional support vehicles are the big German SUVs…

NL has supposedly cracked down on the tax loophole which made these attractive to b entrepreneurs (something about imported vehicles), so hopefully we start seeing less of them over time.

Yeah. An ex coworker of mine deemed it necessary to drive such a wankpanzer in our medium-sized german city over the astonishing distance of 5 kilometres to/from work.

Those are even legal in Europe? Some dude imported one here, as an impulse buy, as he had won a large money prize on Euro Millions, and it had the nastiest of ends, as he jammed the thing between two building in a narrow street. The car was cut to pieces on the spot, to be removed. The rumour mill spoke of nearly 75.000€ to the trash.

The F-150 is imported into Europe, but you can not buy them at normal Ford dealerships, because they are so unpopular. Indeed most Fords sold in Europe are actually designed in Germany…

So what defines a “foreign” car? BMW builds the X3 in South Carolina and VW builds their SUVs in Tennessee. However Ford builds the Bronco in Mexico. So which one will be tariffed?

Toyota builds Camry, Avalon, RAV4, and Lexus in Georgetown, KY.

If it means foreign brands, that will fuck over a lot of red state workers, if he means foreign built, maybe not.

He’s permanently a person for a very very long randomly sized amount of time that is shorter than 100years and longer than 1 second. It could be a heart condition or covid in a week or next year on good Friday. Who knows. But it won’t be 100 more. My guess is 5 to 10 more. He’ll be litigating the entire time.

American cars are already near impossible to sell in Europe. Terrible fuel economy, to large and bad turning radius for European cities with small roads, things like cyber trucks and other oversized pickups are probably not road legal because of pedestrian crash safety regulations.
